Student Ministry Summer Study We will be studying Who Will Deliver Us, by Paul Zahl. A quick read with great insight. Financial Snapshot
Month of May 2014 (Numbers Rounded)
Income: $10,400
Expenses: $11,750
January Thru May 2014 (Numbers Rounded)
Income: $55,500
Expenses: $61,650
For 2014 we have cut back on budget and expenses from 2013 but continue to experience a regular shortfall of income to expenses. We are able to cover this with previously accumulated reserves for the foreseeable future, but will also look at ways to bring expenses and income into live.
-- We have continued to take 10% of money received and distribute it to missions and ministry beyond Christ Covenant including Young Life, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship on UMW campus, Fredericksburg Pregnancy Center, Paul Stefan home and EPC ministry and missionaries.
-- We have reduced from 2013, but continue to save money from each month's offerings into our Next Step Fund for future facilities.
-- While Christ Covenant has clearly been through a season of challenging transition, the Steering Committee continues to be convinced of God's mission and calling for us. After prayer and consideration, we continue to sense that the Father who has lead us through this season, can provide
for and lead us into His good future for us. -- If you have further questions or interest, feel free to contact Pastor Bill, treasurer Beverley Bouchard or any member of the Steering Committee.

Learn the New City Catechism: One Question Per Week
Each week we'll be posting a question and answer from the New City Catechism, along with a brief video explanation.
Question 23: Why must the Redeemer be truly God? Answer:
That because of his divine nature his obedience and suffering would be perfect and effective; and also that he would be able to bear the righteous anger of God against sin and yet overcome death. | | NCC Q23: Why must the Redeemer be truly God? |

Summer CM Change
Parents, for the summer months the children in preschool and elementary classes will remain in the worship service through prayer time. They will be dismissed for the sermon. Nursery will still be available for the entire service.
|
Hospitality Volunteers NeededWe could use another helper or two to be available to make the coffee on Sunday morning and make sure the hospitality table is set up. We could also use a few more willing to be on rotation for bringing snacks to help fill the hospitality table. If you are interested in either, please speak with Allison Webb.

Prayer Needs?
We want to hear about them! We have prayer cards in the Welcome Binders that are passed around every week. Fill one out then slip it back in to the binder, or if you prefer you can hand it directly to Pastor Bill. Our Intercession Group meets Wednesday evenings to cover these needs in prayer. Contact Pastor Bill if you'd like to learn more about the group. Also, all are welcome to come to the back of the worship area for prayer on Communion Sundays.
