All-Church Summer MC starts June 8!
We'd like to refocus, refresh and restart several Missional Communities in September, so for the summer, we are planning to have one "All-Church Missional Community" meeting each month.
For the summer months, we'll be having monthly get togethers open to everyone! We'll have a meal together, followed by a study and discussion around 'Resolving Everyday Conflict' from the Peacemaker series. Child care will be provided for the study.
Our first meeting will be June 8th at the O'Campo home. Stay tuned for more information!

New Generation Meal for Homeless June 15
Save the date! We are always in need of some helping hands, willing to contribute food or donate financially, cook and transport meals, and especially help serve the meal and clean up the afternoon of June 15. We would love some fresh faces to join us this time around! Speak to Bill Lindner if you're interested, and stay tuned for more information and a sign up sheet. |

Singles' College and Career Mardi Gras Meal
Monday, June 2, 6:30 pm, at the Lindner Home
College and Career age singles are invited to the Lindner home for a New Orleans special: Red Beans and Rice prepared by Christ Covenant's favorite Cajun: Mary Lynn Lindner. Bring a friend along - the more the merrier! An RSVP would be helpful for planning, but not even required if your plans change at the last minute. Great way to start the week and month!

The Gospel of Grace and Real-Life Conflict
I've recently had my eyes and heart opened to the difference between Conflict, PeaceKeeping and PeaceMaking. It's brought to memory a lot of experiences and good teaching from my past as well as given me some startling perspective and energy for our present. In days ahead, I expect to be using many of the resources from PeaceMakers Ministry to help us all grow deep in the Gospel, and bear the fruit of PeaceMaking and reconciliation.
There is a deep connection between authentic PeaceMaking and the Gospel of Grace. In fact, I think that apart from the Gospel, we are left to only strategies of PeaceKeeping. Take three minutes to watch this video to see how this connection works in a real life situation, and get a taste of some of the material from PeaceMakers Ministries. Prayer Needs?
We want to hear about them! We have prayer cards in the Welcome Binders that are passed around every week. Fill one out then slip it back in to the binder, or if you prefer you can hand it directly to Pastor Bill. Our Intercession Group meets Wednesday evenings to cover these needs in prayer. Contact Pastor Bill if you'd like to learn more about the group. Also, all are welcome to come to the back of the worship area for prayer on Communion Sundays.
