NOLA 2014 Fundraising Under Way
There are a number of ways that we can help cover expenses for the NOLA 2014 Mission Team as they prepare for the trip.

Yard Sale - April 5
Your "Well-Loved-But-No-Longer-Needed" Items could help teach a child to read, rebuild a house for an elderly widow, or cultivate an urban garden!  Your dishes, furniture or clothes can do all that and more if you save them and donate them to Christ Covenant's Summer Mission Yard Sale. Start putting items aside, and we'll open up the church building for drop off about a week before the yard sale.

Contact Pastor Bill by email if you can help, have a question or need your items picked up right away.

Rent-A-Misisonary
These folks work hard!  Arrange to have them do some spring chores and make a donation to the NOLA 2014 fund.  Your donation will be distributed across the costs of the team members doing the work.  They can help with:
  • Yard work
  • Mulching
  • Clearing brush
  • Pulling items out of storage
  • Loads to the landfill
  • Whatever!
Contact Wil Dargan by email or in person to make arrangements.

Special Offering
Put "NOLA 2014" in the memo field of your check or our online giving site and your special offering will be applied to this trip.  You can either give for a particular team member or to the team as a whole.

This year's team includes: Wesley Bouchard, Sean Coss, Wil Dargan, Will Dargan, Samantha Heinlein, Karen Jordan, Hannah Jordan, Bill Lindner, Mary Lynn Lindner, Jim O'Campo, Rachel O'Campo

One Question per Week
Each week we'll be posting a question and answer from the New City Catechism, along with a brief video explanation.

Question 10: What does God require in the fourth and fifth commandments?
Answer:

Fourth, that on the Sabbath day we spend time in public and private worship of God, rest from routine employment, serve the Lord and others, and so anticipate the eternal Sabbath. Fifth, that we love and honor our father and our mother, submitting to their godly discipline and direction.
