Ladies - Take a break from the rush and include in your Saturday plans a fellowship time over coffee and the like with the women of Christ Covenant. Relationships have a beginning. They start simply, but can only go on from that start. Let the cleaning, shopping, exercising, lounging or wiping-kids'-noses wait for an hour, take this chance to share some time with other women.

Please RSVP to Wanda - by email or in person.

Radical Individualism and the Church as Family

Mental health professionals are now recognizing a truth taught throughout the Scriptures-emotional healing and spiritual growth occur primarily in the context of interpersonal relationships. People who run away from uncomfortable or downright painful relationships almost invariably repeat the cycle of dysfunction with the next person or the next generation (or the next church) down the line. Those, on the other hand, who stay and courageously engage with others are the ones who grow in their self-understanding and in their abilities to relate to God and to their fellow human beings. Community is, in a word, redemptive.

One Way Love: LIBERATE 2014

Next week Pastor Bill and Mary Lynn will head to Ft. Lauderdale to participate in the LIBERATE 2014 conference at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. It promises to be the "Winter Olympics of Grace" with speakers including Tullian Tchividjian, Steve Brown, Matt Chandler, Elyse Fitzpatrick, Sally Lloyd-Jones, Scotty Smith and Paul Tripp. We'll see if Pastor Bill gets his worn out copy of Jesus Storybook Bible autographed by Ms. Lloyd-Jones there! Pray for them and learn more at:

Spring Supper Groups
Supper groups will be reassigned again for the spring. We'll have new groups for March through May, so if you haven't joined in yet, now is a good time! Minimal commitment, great way to get to know your church community, and food is involved! Click here for more information about how supper groups work, and contact Allison Webb if you would like to be included.  Also, please let Allison know this week if you need to drop out of supper groups for March - May. Thanks!!
Growing In Grace -
Children's Communicant Class
Plans are underway for a class beginning mid-March for elementary aged children grades 2 and higher intended to help them understand and participate in communion with their family, as well as understand other sacraments and activities of the church. It is an interactive experience that involves both children and parents and ends with our planned Maundy Thursday service just before Easter. If interested, please contact Mark Coleman.

NOLA Yard Sale: Saturday, April 5
Your "Well-Loved-But-No-Longer-Needed" Items could help teach a child to read, rebuild a house for an elderly widow, or cultivate an urban garden!  Your dishes, furniture or clothes can do all that and more if you save them and donate them to Christ Covenant's Summer Mission Yard Sale. Start putting items aside, and we'll open up the church building for drop off about a week before the yard sale.

Contact Pastor Bill by email if you can help, have a question or need your items picked up right away.

Question 7: What Does the Law of God Require?

Answer:
Personal, perfect, and perpetual obedience; that we love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love our neighbor as ourselves. What God forbids should never be done and what God commands should always be done.
