Radical Individualism and the Church as Family

Mental health professionals are now recognizing a truth taught throughout the Scriptures-emotional healing and spiritual growth occur primarily in the context of interpersonal relationships. People who run away from uncomfortable or downright painful relationships almost invariably repeat the cycle of dysfunction with the next person or the next generation (or the next church) down the line. Those, on the other hand, who stay and courageously engage with others are the ones who grow in their self-understanding and in their abilities to relate to God and to their fellow human beings. Community is, in a word, redemptive.

More a "Forum" than a class or group. A time and place to listen, discuss and consider in light of the Gospel of God's grace.

This Week: Internet Porn - Hijacked Lives
Internet Pornography is accessible, pervasive, secretive and changing the lives of people all around us. This week we will learn about that and see how the Gospel of Grace guides ministry and response to this issue. This is an important topic for all ages. We will have separate breakout groups for students and adults, men and women. While the material will not be graphic and no personal disclosure will be encouraged in this setting, it is an important chance to gain understanding and resources for facing the impact of porn with the power of the Gospel.

Upcoming Topics include a look at how the Gospel of Grace effects such issues as Women in ministry, abortion, worship and more. Pastor Bill would like some feedback on interest and topics. Click Here for a brief online survey to let him know what interests you for this Forum.

NOLA 2014 Planning Meetings

Your "Well-Loved-But-No-Longer-Needed" Items could help teach a child to read, rebuild a house for

an elderly widow, or cultivate an urban garden! Your dishes, furniture or clothes can do all that and more if you save them and donate them to Christ Covenant's Summer Mission Yard Sale. Start putting items aside, and we'll open up the church building for drop off about a week before the yard sale.

Meal for Homeless with New Generation - February 16th

Every other month, Christ Covenant has the opportunity to partner with New Generation Ministries and help provide and serve a hot meal to Fredericksburg's homeless. It's that time again!
