Christ Covenant has been hosting Young Life and Wyldlyfe events regularly at the church bldg.  These are great ministries that we have been excited to have the opportunity to work alongside.  See Pastor Bill if you are interested in learning more.
People Did Whatever They Felt Like Doing: Resources for Series on Judges
This Sunday, Pastor Bill  begins preaching through the Book of Judges.  This is a season in the history of God's people when "people did whatever they felt like doing" (Judges 17:6, 21:25). It should have a lot to say to another season like that.

New Generation Meal for Homeless
Sunday, October 20th
Christ Covenant has the opportunity to regularly partner with New Generation Ministries in serving Fredericksburg's homeless with a hot meal on a Sunday afternoon.  It's that time again! If you'd like to help out, there are lots of ways.  You can donate financially, purchase and/or help cook the food, deliver, serve or help with clean up.  Something for everyone!

 How to Get Real, Honest Community
I've been in groups where I was so concerned to protect myself - hide my brokenness - that there was no real community or relationship. It was an odd interaction of self-maintained images. How different to live by grace in the identity of a forgiven child of the King: free to be honest and appropriate about my shortcomings because they are not tied up in my identity any longer. - Pastor Bill

Here's another way to say the same thing: Dishonesty is rooted in unbelief. It's a gospel issue. When I'm not resting in the identity and righteousness I have in Christ, I'll be tempted to "save face" or keep up appearances.
