Communion Sunday
This practice was given by Jesus to all His followers in every culture and time period to "reconnect" them in an ongoing way to His death on the cross and resurrection. All who aspire to place the trust of their life in Jesus Christ are welcome to receive and participate in this morning's communion, regardless of your church membership or denominational affiliation.

Got A Question?
Let's Grab Lunch
I'm thankful for the response I've had for our current sermon series on Marriage.  Questions, comments and even disagreements have all been insightful and helpful.  I've decided to build more opportunity for that, so I plan to be available for lunch with anyone and everyone after Worship Service:  We'll just head down to Mama's for a sandwich and more relaxed interaction.  Your questions, follow-up and comments are invited.  Just let me know after the service, and I'll make sure there is a seat for you.
Thanks, Pastor Bill
Female Pen Pals For
Women Inmates At
Rappahannock Jail
A need has been identified through our jail ministry partners for women "on the outside" to correspond with women "on the inside" at the Rappahannock Jail.  There is a brief interview and training seminar with guidelines for people willing to be a friend while time is being served. Contact Pastor Bill by email if you would like to know more.
 Student Welcome Back Cook out!
September 8th
We will be having a cook out in the lot behind our building next Sunday, directly after the worship service. Let's make our new and returning students feel welcome with lots of good food and good conversation! Click here to sign up for sides, desserts and fixins.
You can also sign up at 4cfxbg.org or in the welcome binders.

Supper Groups are Back this Fall!
RSVP by September 7th!
The idea of supper groups is to provide an opportunity for all of us to get to know each other better in a fun, informal setting, where food is involved, of course!  We had a blast last year and hope more people will sign up this time around.

To find out more about supper groups, visit 4cfxbg.org.

Contact Allison Webb soon via email, or text or call (704) 222-4600 to join a supper group. Or, you can join 'Supper Groups' on ChurchBook! September 7th is the last day to join.

Missional Communities this Fall
MCs are returning to their regularly scheduled activities in September. Watch for a full list of MCs, visit ChurchBook or the Christ Covenant website: 4cfxbg.org.  If you have an interest in being part of a new MC, contact Pastor Bill by email for new opportunities.

What is a Missional Community?  We believe that the Father has called us to be a church OF small groups, and not just a church WITH small group ministry.

International Missions Focus
with Shawn Stewart, Sept. 14 & 15.
Shawn Stewart serves with EPC World Outreach as Recruitment Coordinator.  Years in Student Ministry and in Missions have given him experience and insight in short-term missions and helping local churches connect ordinary people to the Great Commission in life-changing ways.  Shawn will be in Fredericksburg September 14 & 15 to work with Christ Covenant in developing a year-round and international focus for missions involvement.  He will be listening to our experiences and dreams, sharing with us about EPC opportunities, helping us to network with other churches, agencies and people and develop plans to expand and strengthen missions involvement.

He will be part of the worship service on Sunday, Sept 15 and presenting at a pot-luck dinner gathering at the Lindner home on Saturday evening, Sept 14.
 Cloud of Witnesses
Saturday, September 14th, 9am
Intended to equip lay people with a broad knowledge of the Christian Faith, we will use the Leadership Training Guide developed by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church for training of Elders.  Even if you never expect to serve as an Elder, you will benefit from this deep and systematic grounding in the faith.  It's a chance to study, learn and interact with others, to join with the Cloud of Witnesses who have run the race of faith before us.

To learn more about Cloud of Witnesses, or get the MP3s, visit 4cfxbg.org
