Urgent need for Blood Donors!
Blood Drive Sunday, Aug 11th
The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency shortage of blood, due to significantly fewer donations than expected so far this summer. You have an opportunity to help by attending the blood drive at Resurrection Lutheran Church from 8am - 1pm on Sunday August 11th. Visit the Red Cross website to sign up or find another donation site near you.

 Meal for Homeless with New Generation
Christ Covenant will be partnering again with New Generation Ministries to provide a meal for Fredericksburg's homeless on Sunday afternoon, August 18th. There are many ways you can be involved, and we need your help!

Baptism in the Rappahannock River
August 18th at 5pm 
Plans are underway for a Worship Service at Old Mill Park that will include baptisms in the nearby Rappahannock River
and Ic Cream Sundaes afterward.  We will meet at Shelter E at 5 pm.  Please contact Pastor Bill by email if you want to be included in the baptism.

EPC Leadership Training
This Saturday, August 10th at 9:00am 
Intended to equip lay people with a broad knowledge of the Christian faith, we will use the Leadership Training Guide developed by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church for the training of elders. Even if you never expect to serve as an elder, you will benefit from this deep and systematic grounding in the faith. It's a chance to study, learn and interact with others, to join with the cloud of witnesses who have run the race of faith before us.

We will have pizza and fellowship together, followed by a viewing of Roots and Wings: The Story of Indelible Grace. Everyone welcome, but please RSVP to Pastor Bill by email for food planning.  
Children's Ministry Team
Get together at the Lindner's next Wednesday, August 14th at 7pm. We will be touching base to make sure we are on track for the new school year. Anyone interested in becoming involved with children's ministry is also welcome to attend. More help is always needed and appreciated!
