Gospel Maturity
Text: Hebrews 5:11-14
|
This practice was given by Jesus to all His followers in every culture and time period to "reconnect" them in an ongoing way to His death on the cross and resurrection. All who aspire to place the trust of their life in Jesus Christ are welcome to receive and participate in this morning's communion, regardless of your church membership or denominational affiliation..

The Life that Led to My Passion
A TCC Scholarship
Applicant Writes ...
"My childhood was filled with neglect and abuse, which inspired me to help children in the foster care system find their identities in a safe and supportive environment. While attending Tulane, I plan to major in sociology before continuing on to get a Master's degree in Social Work. I want to become a community service manger or work in the child welfare system."

Traffic Changes on Plank Road
If you are driving west - from I-95 - on Plank Rd to Christ Covenant, you will find a new traffic pattern for entering the Kilarney Shopping Center where Christ Covenant is located. You can no longer cross Plank on Kilarney Dr. Instead, there are two options:
1) Proceed to light at Old Plank and make a U-Turn to come back to our location.
2) One block before Kilarney Dr there is a new traffic light that turns left onto Chancellor Village Lane. Cross Plank Rd there, proceed one block and then turn right onto newly paved Health Center Ln. Proceed one block to Kilarney Dr at back of Kilarney shopping center.

Jail Ministry - Christian Brothers Transition Program
Christian Brothers Transition Program - CBTP - is a ministry focused on helping Christian ex-inmates get established once released from jail. It began November 1, 2008 with a handful of men who saw the challenge faced by former inmates. They began meeting on Saturday mornings and have seen God grow a fruitful ministry based on a supportive network of 50 people. A Christian Sisters Transition Program was developed March 1, 2008. Along with continuous feeding of the Word to seek character change, the following are some of the pattern deeds that have developed over the years. - Bicycles. Since we began in 2008, the Stafford police department has helped provide us with bikes from their unclaimed evidence. We have gone through over 50 bicycles. If a bike needs repair we work with a local bike shop that charges us cost. A few of our CSTP women have even gotten bikes. -Cell phones. Released male and female inmates need communication immediately for jobs and keeping in contact with us. We make sure they have a phone or we purchase a low cost phone with a couple hundred minutes for them. After a month or so the ex-inmate usually has money of their own to upgrade phones.
