Dinner for Homeless
New Generation Outreach This Sunday Afternoon, 2/17
Looking for a Service Opportunity? New Generation is a local ministry in downtown Fredericksburg that ministers to the homeless street population, including providing a meal every Sunday afternoon followed by a Worship Service. There is still opportunity for Volunteers to prepare the venue (Mars Hill on Princess Anne St.), prepare plates, serve meals, and clean up afterwards. Meals are served from 3-4 PM with most of the volunteers needed a bit before 3 through clean up at about 4:30. Our hope is to provide one meal through New Generation every two months. If you would like to volunteer to assist with this opportunity as described...or...if you would like to assist with the food acquisition, preparation, or delivery, please contact Dean Northcutt at (858) 254-9442 or by email Fill out our volunteer information form if you think you would be interested in helping out or making a donation! Summer Mission Yard Sale
March 9 at Christ Covenant 5044 Plank Rd
Your "Well-Loved-But-No-Longer-Needed" Items could help teach a child to read, rebuild a house for an elderly widow, cultivate an urban garden! Your dishes or furniture or clothes can do that if you save them and donate them to Christ Covenant's Summer Mission Yard Sale.
We will begin collecting and receiving items on Saturday, March 2. Contact Tina Bell by email if you can help, have a question or need your items picked up right away.
In particular, we will need at least two people to team up wit Tina to direct other volunteers for tagging items, organizing and overseeing sales.

Engage 2025

Engage 2025 is a ministry of the Evangelical Presbytery Church's (EPC's) World Outreach ministry. Our vision is to fulfill the Great Commission and make disciples of all nations. Our mission is to plant self-replicating Protestant Reformed churches in 10 unreached Muslim communities by 2025.
We aspire to reach the unengaged - on their terms! We go into their countries, into their neighborhoods, into their houses... for the purpose of bringing hope into their hearts. This means learning their language and adjusting our lifestyle to fit their culture through the adoption of appropriate customs and living standards, while maintaining Biblical principles. We follow Paul's example of becoming "all things to all people" (I Cor. 9:22).

Cloud of Witnesses
Leadership Training
Intended to equip lay people with a broad knowledge of the Christian Faith, we will use the Leadership Training Guide developed by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church for training of Elders. Even if you never expect to serve as an Elder, you will benefit from this deep and systematic grounding in the faith. It's a chance to study, learn and interact with others, to join with the Cloud of Witnesses who have run the race of faith before us.
