UMW Intervarsity
Urbana Update
Jesus invites us into relationship with Him and to be a part of His purposes and His mission in this world! And we want Mary Washington to know that reality.

We got back from Urbana on New Year's and it was an incredible week. Here are some thoughts from a couple of the UMW students that went to Urbana:
LeLe: I learned a lot of little things that helped me see a bigger picture of what Jesus calls us into, mainly from the the Urban Poverty track and the sports ministry seminars. I realized the opportunities are endless and it was just a great, unexpected, amazing life-choice ever experienced!

Covenant Renewal 2013
The Roots That Bear Fruit
Psalm 1
John 15:3-5

This Sunday completes our time of Covenant Renewal for 2013.  As a rsponse of worship towards the end of this Sunday's service, everyone will have the opportunity to write down their Grace Goals for the new year and return them in an offering plate.   They will be kept safe for next year, when we will have the opportunity to once again look back and then look forward for the Father's next steps in our journey.

February 9

As we all look to the New Year, we, as a family, are specifically looking to February 9th as that is the day for Leyda's memorial Blood Drive. Please click on the link to make an appointment.

We are very thankful to Spotsylvania Presbyterian Church for joining with us and allowing us to use their space for the drive. Last year we had gift cards from Chic Fil A and birthday cake from Paul's Bakery.....I wonder what we will be able to share this year!?

Dinner for Homeless
New Generation Outreach

Volunteer Coordinator Needed

We have the opportunity with New Generation Outreach (Folks who led worship on November 11) to join them by serving meal for approximately 80 people on one Sunday afternoon every other month beginning February 17. They have experience and recipes, we need to identify a single-point-of-contact coordinator to lead the congregation in meeting this need. If you would like to know more or serve in this way, contact Pastor Bill by email.

Take A Pen,
 & Give It Away!

Sort of like a message in a bottle!  We have Christ Covenant pens engraved with contact information that you can pick up at any service.  Take several.  Give them away.  Leave them with the wait staff when you pay for lunch or sign for your credit card. Hand them out to invite someone to Christ Covenant.  How creative can we be?!?
