Covenant Renewal 2013
Several times through the history of Israel, the Family of God would reassess their life with God and respond with a time of "Covenant Renewal." It was not a change in their faith or identity. They were God's People because of His grace. It was instead a purposeful and renewed step deeper into their faith and identity as Children of God.
This is a practice we have built in from the very beginning at Christ Covenant. Covenant Renewal: a time to review, assess, "look forward" into the year ahead and then prayerfully set "grace goals" for our life in Christ.
This year we will again focus on three areas:
- Bible Reading
- Prayer
- Service
As part of our worship on Sunday, January 20 we will have opportunity to respond to God's grace with our own goals for 2013. Click Here for a downloadable 2013 Grace Goal form.

Reading The Bible in 2013
Here's a great post from Justin Taylor:
Do you want to read the whole Bible this year?
If the average person reads 200 to 250 words per minute, and if there are about 775,000 words in the Bible, then it would take less than 10 minutes a day to read the whole Bible in a year.
Audio Bibles are usually about 75 hours long, so you can listen to it in just over 12 minutes a day.
But a simple resolution to do this is often an insufficient. Most of us need a more proactive plan.

2012 Giving Statements for IRS
Giving Statements are available: 1) Beverley Bouchard will be available after worship to download and print out a statement upon request for the first two Sundays in January. 2) Online at the "ChurchBook" portion of the church website. Click Here, then log in, and click "Go to my profile" near the top right corner of the page. Click the "Financial" tab from below your address information and picture. Under the "Printable Statements" column, choose "Giving Statement." In the "Giving Statements" window, use the drop-down menus to choose the appropriate filters - ie. under "Date Range" choose "Quick Date Range --> This year" to get a statement for 2012, and it will produce a report that can be printed or saved as a .pdf file.
