April showers? Who cares as long as it isn't snow- right?
We survived the winter and here in these first few weeks of spring are so thrilled to embrace the new season.
It's the month of celebrations, including Passover and Easter.
Events are also kicking into high gear. We have First Friday (see sidebar), the first street fair of the season (see below) and Earth Day activities set for April 26 (see our Facebook page for updates).
We also would like to share some very special news. Maria Luisa Whittingham has again been invited to Peru as part of an initiative to encourage more American-Peruvian trade. Last year's trip was filled with a trade show and meeting local designers and collectives. The results of that trip have filled space at Maria Luisa Boutique and ML by Maria Luisa ever since, from bags to sweaters and plenty more. (

This month, Maria returns to South America, this time with a bit more time to further develop her relationships with the designers and artisans. She'll be reporting on her finds- and you'll be seeing them in the shops in coming weeks and months.
What a way to embrace the world's creativity.
