SNOW MAKE UPS AND REMEMBRANCE DAY
Radcliffe Creek School builds extra school days into its annual calendar each year.  This school year, however, we will need to make up time for the days over and above the already scheduled extra days that the school was scheduled to be open, but was closed because of weather or other circumstances.

To address this, Radcliffe will be in session two FULL-DAY WEDNESDAYS on Wednesday, April 13 and May 11. Dismissal on April 13 and May 11 will be 3:10 p.m.  Additionally, we will be open Friday, June 10.

The Remembrance Day Ceremony will remain on Thursday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. and dismissal will take place at 12:45 p.m. for all students and teachers, as scheduled.  We will then be opened a full day on Friday, June 10. The 8th-grade students will be excused from the last day of school Friday, June 10.
2016 RUN FOR RADCLIFFERegistration for the 2016 40th Annual Tea Party Distance Classic and Run for Radcliffe is now OPEN! As you know, this Run is a big part of one of the best weekends of the year in Chestertown!

In celebration of the Run's 40th year, we have a new, exciting event for our participants - a Half Marathon! We are excited about this new opportunity and all-new course.

From now until April 30, registration for the 5k walk/run is $40 and the half marathon is $65. After May 1 and the day of the race, the cost will be $50 for the walk/run and $80 for the half marathon. See you at the start line!
SUMMER ON THE CREEK

The first day of spring is just around the corner and that has us thinking about...summer

Radcliffe Creek is pleased to announce that our full summer program has now been expanded to include children who are rising kindergarten through third graders, in addition to our programs for children ages 2-5 and our three week-long camps in August. Please click here for more information and to register today.
HEARING AND VISION SCREENINGS
The Kent County Health Department will be conducting its annual Hearing and Vision Screening on Wednesday April 13, 2016 at school. They will be screening students in grades pre-k, first, fifth, and new students. Please contact the school if you have any questions.
AROUND THE CREEK

Ellie and Asher enjoy relaxing during D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) on Wednesday's "Vacation Wear" Spirit Day!

Little Creek's Two's boys enjoy a beautiful spring day!

Little Creek's Tiny Tigers class had its promotion ceremony this week with their instructor, Mark Pagano from Eastern Shore Tang Soo Do.

During yesterday's Closing, students reflected on the kind acts they have noticed over the past few weeks. The students created a "kindness chain" with each link showing something that someone has done to show kindness to them or other students, and something that they could improve upon to be more kind. The students attached the links to create a whole school "kindness chain."

Mrs. Aburn's Language Arts students recently wrote business letters to companies they like and admire. Noah and Tyler both received responses from their companies - Noah from Traxxas and Tyler from LEGO saying they would consider his ideas!

Mrs. Armiger's Discovery students are completely immersed in their Japan unit. This week they taste-tested both rice (using chopsticks!) and Japanese tea.

In the Occupational Therapy Room, Douglas works on core strength over the peanut ball while getting tactile input from the rice bin.
