BAKE SALE!

Second period Social Thinking class will be hosting a bake sale on Thursday, October 15 during snack and lunch. Students can bring money to buy our heavenly confections. Money raised will go to purchase two new vacuum cleaners for the school!
VOLUNTEER NEEDED!
We are in need of a volunteer to help with the Box Top program, including sorting, counting and organizing the Box Tops. If you are interested, please contact Nan Norris.
SPOTLIGHT ON...THE RADCLIFFE WAY
The Radcliffe Way promotes experiential learning. This week, Ms. Usilton's Discovery classes are camping at Gettysburg - from touring the Gettysburg Museum and participating in a Ranger-led "Pickett's Charge" activity to hiking around locations at the park, these students are truly becoming engaged in the topic!



AROUND THE CREEK

Mrs. Fish's Integrated Studies class is working on time capsules - students are building the capsules and working on a process essay to describe the activity.


Charlie works hard during Ms. Serio's Reading class on building sight words with Play Doh!

Asher and Ben enjoy painting in the Art Studio.


Our Little Creek students were treated to a visit from the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company on Wednesday! They loved learning more about what firefighters do and about fire safety.


Matt Sawyer works on a "hard and soft sounds of 'c' and 'g'" card sort in Reading class.


This week, the World Cooking Enrichment and Music Enrichment classes joined forces to sing songs and eat treats from Italy!

 
This week the Dino Club went on a scavenger hunt. They pretended a dinosaur was loose in the school and leaving nothing but footprints and dinosaur eggs behind. The kids had to find the dinosaur footprints that led them to a dinosaur nest filled with eggs. The goal was to collect the eggs and bring them back into the classroom to find surprises inside!


Kira and Mason sharpen their music reading skills with Boomehackers while Asher and Ellie work hard on their recorders in Music class.


Ms. Richardson's Discovery class learns about bartering to understand more about the economy of Ancient Egypt.
