Mark your calendar for our 3rd Annual '100 Volunteer Day' on Saturday, May 4

Nearly every day is a 'Volunteer Day' on the Sheldon Jackson Campus. Community members can be found throughout the week hanging drywall in Allen Hall or hanging event posters around town, fixing campus internet or fixing meals for Saturday work parties. Our 100 Volunteer Day is an occasion to celebrate that effort and to join together in a great push to ready the Campus for summer.

Put together a team of your co-workers, friends, or family. Or come on your own and join 100+ other community members of all ages. All are welcome! Activities will include painting, gardening, light carpentry, window washing, and cleaning.

Meet at Sweetland Hall starting at 9am on Saturday, May 4th. Lunch will be generously provided by SeaMart.

You don't need to be in Sitka to be part of the effort. Your donation is vital for securing the necessary resources for rebuilding this campus and developing community programs! Take a look at the great programs and events that will be on Campus this summer.

Musician and NPR contributor David Was says, "I've heard the future of Jazz and it is Grace Kelly." This 20 year-old saxophonist/vocalist/composer/lyricist/arranger released her first CD at age 12 and has since performed over 500 concerts - at such venues as the Newport Jazz Festival, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, as well as touring Europe and Asian. She has set her own alto sax along jazz legends Lee Konitz and Phil Woods. Come see this shining new star!
