We Can Do It, If We All Work Together!

Greetings!
Camp ended with style this year, culminating with three performances of the Musical Theater Camp's Bye Bye Birdie.  The campers,  knocked it out of the park.  The buzz around town has lasted for days after the show- I think people will be talking about this one for a while. The show was full of energy and very entertaining. Thank you to WT McRae, Andrew Hames, Ed Littlefield, Susan Wingrove and Ryan Moller for your instruction and direction, and to the campers for all of your hard work.  I am thoroughly impressed!

Your Contributions at Work
Camp is over for the summer, but the activity continues. Volunteers, here as part of the Yale initiative Bulldogs on Baranof, have been painting the outside of Yaw Art Center (pictured above.) The work crew will be here through August, making improvements on the campus and getting to know Sitka.

Last fall, the Sitka Fine Arts Camp received a $100,000 donation for campus maintenance. Local contractor, Pete Weiland, has been hired to replace the roof on Whitmore Hall. This is an example of your donations at work, and the local investments that will continue to bring this campus back to life.

Alaska Dream Donation!
Alaska Dream Cruises donated the proceeds from an auction of one of their fabulous Southeast Cruises.

The 8-day cruise went for a final price of $3130.00 with over 2,000 site views. Thank you to Alaska Dream Cruises and Allen Marine for the incredible donation!
