Saturday Work Parties Begin
Join us this Saturday November 23rd! 
We are in the final push to complete the renovation of Allen Hall! The beautiful Del Shirley Hospitality Room is finished, the work on the Odess Theater is almost complete and our amazing team has begun their work on the upstairs hallway, classroom, and offices.

We will be starting up our Saturday volunteer days again with a work party this Saturday, November 23rd from 9am-3pm. Interested volunteers should plan to meet in Allen Hall at 9am. A delicious hot lunch will be served at noon in the North Pacific Hall kitchen.

This week's volunteer party will focus on clearing out and cleaning the upstairs in Allen so that the walls can be mudded and painted. We will also be putting in new storm windows in North Pacific Hall and will need help washing the windows before the new storm windows are put in. 

We are also excited for everyone to see all of the work that has been done in the building so far. Come on by to check out all of the progress that has been made over the last few months!

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us last weekend for The Adventures of Beatrix Potter and Her Friends. The students had a fabulous time performing the show, making our first Young Performers Theater production a huge success! 

Thank you so much to everyone who helped to make the show a success. So many parents, family members, and members of the community pitched in to help out with all aspects of the show from painting grass on the set to sewing a lavish Victorian dress and coordinating all of the movement and students backstage. We could not have done it without the help of every single person involved.

We have eleven fabulous internships that need to be filled with a diverse collection of position ranging from development to graphic design intern and property management. Save the Date: Holiday Brass Concert 2013
 
Don't miss one of Sitka's favorite holiday traditions! Tickets are available now at Old Harbor Books for the 2013 Holiday Brass Concert. World-class brass players will join us from all over the country to serenade you with a diverse mix of beautiful music. The concert is December 20th at 7pm at the Sitka Performing Arts Center. Tickets sell out quickly, so get yours today!  
F Magazine Competition
Don't forget to enter F Magazine's fourth-annual Alaska Statewide Youth Art & Writing Competition. Finalists will have their work curated in a gallery, will be published in F Magazine, and the top two winners will be awarded a
full scholarship to attend the 2014 Sitka Fine Arts Camp.
