HAPPY 35TH ANNIVERSARY, UNITY OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS!!! Too, I am honored that we are also observing my 5th anniversary as your minister. Please celebrate with us all month long.
We are hearing a lot of political ads at this time of the year. We know that it is important in our country to vote. Why? Because we can. We make a difference. It is our right and an honored one at that.
That is true in our congregation, as well. We are at a time in the church that requires us to be creative in the success of the future of the church. We are a prosperous church; we have so much to be grateful for as members and friends of the church. You are the church; without you there is no church.
With this in mind, I encourage you to attend two upcoming meetings for the church. One is Wednesday, October 17th,at 6:30p.m. when Rev. Steve Colladay, from Unity of Greenville, in Dallas, will be here to assist us in seeing new ways to create - and follow through with - the vision of the church that we desire. It is important for you to be there so we can hear your input.
On Sunday, October 21st, following service, our Annual Congregational Meeting takes place. Here we elect the board of directors, as well as vote on any issues about the church that require action from you.
Our spiritual community depends on you to be a part of the force of good. Let yourself be a part of our future and well as our past.
