"Music is the space between the notes."
Claude Debussy
Johann Christian Bach is the featured composer this month. Enjoy the first movement of his Cello Concerto in C-Minor. In music, Galant was a term referring to a style, principally occurring in the third quarter of the 18th century, which featured a return to classical simplicity after the complexity of the late Baroque era. Take a listen to two selections in Style Galant: Cimarosa's Larghetto from his Oboe Concerto in C-Major and the familiar Boccherini Minuet in E-Major.

SUMMER 2013 and FALL RE-ENROLLMENT
It's that time of year again! Re-enrollment packets will be distributed during the Musicales. Those not participating in these events will receive the packets in the mail. Forms will be available in the studio waiting areas and are also available on the website. Please return the Summer Enrollment Form and Fall Enrollment Form by April 30.
- The Summer Session at MWA offers lessons and classes June 3 - August 11. Enroll for lessons the weeks you are in town; if uncertain, give us your best guess!
- MWA has a three-hour instructional minimal participation during summer: three 60-minute lessons for those busy or in and out of town; four 45-minute lessons; or, six 30-minute lessons. Some students have more time during the summer and enroll for all 10 weeks!
- Two important forms are in your Re-Enrollment packets! Never fear....if you have misplaced these forms, the links are in the following sentence! Be sure to return a signed copy of the 2013-14 MWA Studio Policy to your instructor. If you need to update your Emergency Contact Form information, now is the time to turn this into the studio!
