VOLUNTEER FOR THE CENTRAL SQUARED TECHNOLOGY DESIGN CHALLENGE
The Community Art Center is looking to gather employees from local technology, innovation, and design entities to participate as coaches or event volunteers in the Central Squared (C2) Challenge scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. at NuVu Studio, 450 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge MA 02139.
During this one-day Challenge, teams will put their brains together to design a product that uses sensor technology to solve an important community issue. All teams will present their designs at the end of the challenge to be judged by both their peers and local experts. The team with the best overall idea will then have their tech design showcased at the 16th annual "Do It Your Damn Self" Film Festival Premiere Screening May 18th, which will be held at the Microsoft New England R&D Center, Cambridge, MA.
Volunteer Opportunities
C2 Coach
Time Requirement: 4/20/13 - 10am-3pm
During the design period we are looking to for coaches to work with a team of youth to: make sure they are staying on target, offer them unbiased advice on their project, encourage them to think deeper into the topic and the technology.
Event Volunteer
Time Requirement: 4/20/13 - 10am-3pm
As an event volunteer you will help implement the logistics of the event and will float from team to team, as a support staff for the youth.
