YOUTH ARE INVITED TO SIGN UP FOR THE
CENTRAL SQUARED TECHNOLOGY DESIGN CHALLENGE!
The Community Art Center is gathering young people ages 11-14 to participate in the Central Squared (C2) Challenge scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Hosted by the Community Art Center, the C2 Challenge will take place at NuVu Studio in Central Square Cambridge, and is sponsored by the Microsoft New England Research and Design Center (NERD). The aim of the event is to challenge local youth to solve social issues using sensor technology, including Microsoft's exciting motion-controlling gaming interface--Kinect. Youth will be put into teams, where they will work together with technology professionals to brainstorm innovative applications for sensors. The teams will each design their product, film a short promo and then present that commercial to the judges. At the end of the challenge, their proposals will be evaluated on creativity, social impact and practicality. All the teens in the winning group will receive a Kinect.
If you or your youth are interested in participating, sign up through our C2 Eventbrite page. Please RSVP by Friday, April 11. Space is limited!
