Have you ever heard the term 'Jesus Year' before?  The Urban Dictionary defines Jesus Year as 'the 33^rd year of your life.  Time to get moving and get things done.' 
Also, a blogger from the Vancouver Sun stated that

'The Jesus Year is becoming the age in which young people decide it's time to get serious about life, and accomplish something.  The year that many try to make the difficult transition from adolescence to adulthood so they can overcome their romanticism and sentimentality and really commit to life.' 

 At 33, Jesus knew his purpose.  At 33, Jesus did not always know when, where and why he was to walk, but he fully trusted his Father in Heaven to lead and guide him on his journey.  Jesus' steps were truly directed by God. On New Year's Day, I knew mountains were going to be moved in my life.  I prayed for it to happen!  Not knowing at the time that this was my Jesus Year, only desiring more in my heart.  Have you ever desired more in your heart, but scared to make a move?  Has God shown you His purpose for your life and then Satan came in right behind telling you something different?  Well, God had planted a seed in my heart, but I was not allowing it to get enough water to grow because I was scared to step out on faith.  Instead of being obedient and stepping out, God allowed unusual circumstances to lead me to resign from my job after almost 12 years.  Remember this, when God has a plan there is no amount of bricks you can set on your lap to keep you still. The Lord is our puppet

master and He is always holding the strings to our limbs. 

      Being a person that has little obligations, sometimes it is hard to make a commitment to something or someone.  With that problem in my mind, one day God gave me an answer.  He said: 'You can't commit to anything because you haven't even totally committed yourself to ME!  You are still trying to hold on to control, so everything you do is really selfish.'  So then more thoughts came to my head

and I started to think what if Jesus said, 'Hey Dad, I really don't want to walk around healing people. I am not ready to die, so I am going to go hang out with my friends'?  What if he would have chosen not to commit to his Father's purpose for his life?  If Jesus chose to act selfishly before praying in the garden, before being beaten, before being lied on, before being denied, before being nailed to the cross, where would we be today?  Thankfully for us, He chose to fulfill God's purpose as destined, Jesus gave up his life to the Father so that we may live.  At the age of 33, Jesus knew it was bigger than him and the only way to carry out his purpose was to selflessly commit to his Father in Heaven.  Since Jesus is our example, when we profess to be a Christian and say we are taking on the mind, body and soul of Christ, but are not being obedient (to the Word) then what will come of the next generation?

  Today is the day for Change! Today is the day to commit, sacrifice, praying, and hard work.  Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow may not come. The sins of your past have been forgiven.  We are so blessed in knowing that no matter how messed up our past may be, we always can come to Jesus and be welcomed with open arms. Trials and tribulations will be your testimony. It's not only time for me, but it is also time for you to make a change whether it is your Jesus Year or not. THE TIME IS NOW!
