They say there is a time for everything, and it seems as though this is a good time to say "Thank You!" We know it's you, our wonderful clients and supporters that have kept us moving forward these past 10 years and building a rock solid business. So a big shout out to all of you for your continued support and for helping us have a successful summer!
Coming up we will be switching gears and heading to Chicago in September to exhibit at the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market. This is a show for outdoor speciality stores to come and shop for products to furnish their stores.
We finished up our summer show schedule in Frisco, CO. Shows were good except that it seemed to rain at everyone of them, which can really slow down traffic. |
Casual Market is Looking for Luxury:
The term 'Casual Market' represents the outdoor furniture and outdoor products. This industry keeps tabs on what the market, consumers are looking for and plan on purchasing in the future. This information is from a recent issue of Casual Living Magazine:
"The demand for outdoor furnishings is strengthening as consumers invest in creating high-quality outdoors spaces for their homes. According to reports from outdoor furniture industry, the market for luxury outdoor furnishings is alive and well, what has happened is that people have already done the mass merchant furniture and maybe products are not made of materials that last very long." Casual Living Magazine July 2013
We hope to help out in this area and provide a luxury product to consumers by building quality furniture right here in the USA. |
Then & Now:
(This is where we feature something from the past & present to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.) Jill's Labor Day Note...
In celebration of Labor Day, I thought I would share with you that my birthday falls on Sept. 1st. Back in 1975 when I was born, it was on the actual Labor Day Holiday, which my mom always jokes that I put the true meaning into Labor Day. Not only was I born on Labor Day, but it was a during a Monday night Bronco game.
While my mom was in labor, the doctor was next door watching the game. She never did hear whether they won or not.
With my daughters at the famous Casa Bonita in Denver.

Dwayne's Artist Statement:
My rock chairs have been compared to something found on the set of the Flintstones, but great care is given to ensure they are both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. The stone added to discarded steel results in functional furniture inspired by Mother Nature. They are not only weatherproof, but integrate easily into landscapes and cityscapes without intruding on the surrounding beauty. |
Now you can find our products in Basalt, CO at The Basalt Emporium & Flying Circus.
132 Midland Ave, Basalt. The gallery has a good stock of Wine Buddies at their Basalt & Aspen locations. Be sure to stop by and grab yours!
Please let us know if we can be of service, we love the challenge of custom jobs.
Have a happy & safe long Labor Day Weekend! Best Wishes,
Dwayne & Jill - the stone furniture experts.
