Greetings! November 2012
First off, we would like to express our sympathies to all the folks in the east struggling with the aftermath from Hurricane Sandy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dwayne and I are so excited to announce that our new website has finally launched!
The new website has much more content, larger photos and you will find it easier to navigate.
As time goes on, we will continue to add more photos and content. One of our favorite features is the "Articles" link which features blog entries from over the years. Another great link is the "Settings" link that show all kinds of photos of stone furniture in a variety of different settings. We hope you enjoy the new website www.stone2furniture.com. |
Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.
Recently I had a negative online shopping experience, which in return gave me new perspective on my own business. Here is what happened. Our oldest daughter has long coveted a pair of Ugg boots. For those of you who are not familiar with Ugg Boots, they are kind of pricey, but very popular and made in Australia. They run about $200 a pair and are high quality boots.
One day I was on Facebook and I noticed an ad advertising a one day sale for Ugg Boots. I had seen this ad before and thought that it had to be legitimate because it was on Facebook. So I clicked on it and ordered a pair of boots thinking I got a great deal.
They were supposed to come from Australia yet when I looked at my credit card statement it showed a charge from Beijing China. Though the website reflected the legitimate Ugg website, it was not. After a little research I discovered that people in China are selling this footwear and yes, the boots are fakes!
Over the years we have found other people making stone furniture, but to our surprise they have copied the text directly off our website and pasted it on theirs. Stone 2 FurnitureŽ will always be made here, in the USA and we will continue to inspire others.
Here is the lesson that I picked up. Going to a website and ordering can be very intimidating to shoppers. Many of you know us personally or have met us at art festivals, but many others have no idea if we really exist or if it is actually us that painstaking build this amazing stone furniture. We always try to personally talk to each of our clients and to reassure them that they will receive their order. It seems like with so many fake businesses and imitation products it is no wonder people are leery about doing business with someone they have never met. Dwayne & I back our stone furniture with our 100% Rock Solid Guarantee which you can read about on our website here.
Please take heed from my shopping experience and be careful shopping online this holiday season.
Happy Shopping! |

It's no wonder that this Deep Seating in Idaho Gray is still our best seller!
The colors on it are amazing! We gave this set some flare by mixing up the stones on the back. One chair has 2 rocks and the other has 1 rock back.

Where in the World is Stone 2 Furniture?
Manasquan, NJ
Three local Girl Scouts from Troop 1303 of Wall, NJ embarked on a project for their Silver Award by creating a beautiful memory garden for Common Ground Grief Center.
The garden, appropriately named, "Memories Rock!", was built by Grace Cassidy, 13, Colleen Kelly, 12, and Dakota Donohue, 13. As part of their Silver Project Award requirements, the project must leave a self-sustaining legacy in the town and include at least 150 hours of service hours. This project was a perfect fit for the grief center in that it will be a way for families to remember their loved ones in a peaceful and reflective space. The garden includes a labyrinth made of memory stones which can be purchased through the Center and are engraved with any wording, symbol and font of the recipients choice.
The girls worked very hard in fundraising, securing donations, and sponsors to create this beautiful space in the back of the Common Ground Grief Center property.
Common Ground Grief Center, located in Manasquan, NJ is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing ongoing peer support groups for children, teens and their families who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or friend. The Center does not charge a fee for its services and is supported by private donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
