FUN SPRING EVENTS THIS WEEKEND

Well it is finally starting to feel like spring skiing and this weekend is packed with great spring skiing events. We've pulled from the past for Throwback Weekend.

On Saturday: Bronco Buster 2.0. The Saddleback faithful will recall the Bronco Buster Challenge. Tight Line, formerly known as Bronco Buster, is the venue. The challenge: ski or ride from the top to the bottom of Tight Line without stopping or falling. Tight Line has not been groomed and is naturally bumped up. If you succeed, you get an early season day-pass voucher for 2014-15. The Kennebago Station at the foot of Tight Line will have live music from Absolute Zero and the barbecues and beer garden will be in full swing. Après ski Elmore Twist will be in the Pub.

For Sunday, two events. Have you ever heard of the underground Space Case Race ?  It was a locals event with costumed skiers racing down Grey Ghost. Well, it's back. Break out your costumes or vintage ski clothing and race down Grey Ghost with flair at 11 AM.

Olympic skier Julie Parisien will be here Sunday to greet the Saddleback Peak Pass holders. These students have worked hard to achieve high academic standards and we salute them. All Peak pass holders who attend will be entered in a raffle to win a pair of Rocker 2 Jr. skis. A group photo will be taken at 1:30PM.

For après ski on Sunday, Pam Ellis (Marketing), Bob Greene (Ski Patrol) and Jeff Smith (Ski Patrol) will be performing in the Pub as P B & J.

Only two weekends left to savor the gifts of winter at Saddleback.
