BEAUTIFUL FIREWORKS SHOW
KICKS OFF THE NEW YEAR

A huge crowd of people of all ages came to Saddleback to ring in the New Year and enjoy the spectacular Fireworks display on the Wheeler slope. The air was still and the stars twinkled as the fireworks sparkled, boomed and whistled, and the people cheered. There were laser light rings for all the kids, a marshmallow roast; Matt and the Barnburners played on into the evening as people danced and enjoyed the great food and camaraderie. 2014 is going to be a good one.

ARE YOU THE ULTIMATE SKI BUM?

Saddleback Mountain, Gorham Bike & Ski and MPBN have teamed up to search for the ultimate MPBN Ski Bum. Once found, that individual will win a pretty cool ski package - a 2 night stay, (choose either weekend OR weekday) slope-side accommodations for up to 4 people and ski passes for you and three of your friends. To top it off, the winner will also receive a $250 Gift Card to Gorham Bike & Ski to help you get the right gear for the trip.

There are two ways to prove you have what it takes to be an MPBN Ski Bum. Each week in January a different quiz will be posted to determine whether you have the traits and inclinations to be an MPBN Ski Bum. All entries are tabulated and folks who answer the questions "correctly" will be entered into the drawing for the grand prize. JOIN THE SADDLEBACK SAFETY TEAM
ON FAMILY FUN DAY, JANUARY 18

On Saturday of the long MLK Weekend, Saddleback is hosting our Family Fun Day.

The whole day is filled with great activities for the kids including a scavenger hunt, candy jar guess, projects, contests, activities and prizes all with the theme of staying safe on the slopes. Events are planned for both outdoors and indoors to keep the kids active and having fun. Come check out the Snowflake Central Table in the lobby to find out what's happening.

THE DEMO'S ARE IN

You should see the array of new, technically advanced skis that Ian has available in the Ski Shop to Demo. They represent the top of the line from Rossignol, Volkl, K-2, Salomon, Elan and Dynastar. Our Demo Program is affordable and is an excellent way to try out new gear before making that lasting commitment.

MEISTERS PROGRAMS BEGIN
SATURDAY, JAN 4TH

All the Season-Long Meisters programs begin this Saturday, January 4th. Saddleback's Ski & Ride School offers full and half-day programs for ages 3 to 93 in Skiing, Snowboarding, Back-Country, Telemark, Junior Instructors, Freestyle for both Ski and Snowboard, as well as a Women's Ski group. JANUARY 5th IS MAINE DAY

Our next Maine Day, where Maine Residents ski and ride all day for only $29, is Sunday, January 5th. Maine Days are the first Sunday of each month: Jan 5, Feb 2, Mar 2 and April 6. Come on up.

HOSPITALITY DAY
Monday, January 13 is HOSPITALITY DAY at Saddleback, where those employed in the hospitality industry ski for FREE. In addition to your day of skiing, there's an activity and lodging package, so stay tuned for more details. There will be a special après ski party with North of Nashville in the Swig 'N Smelt Pub. To participate, individuals please bring proof of employment in the hospitality industry, and Hospitality businesses please submit a list of your employees to info@saddlebackmaine.com.

OUR FIRST FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS RAIL JAM

IS JANUARY 17

The Terrain Park crew is getting psyched for the first Friday Night Lights Rail Jam of the season. From 4-6 PM on Friday, January 17th, you can shred it up under the lights in the Freerider Terrain Park - food, music and great fun after hours. Release of liability required.
