FIRST LOLLIPOP RACE OF THE SEASON IS DECEMBER 29 Saddleback's Bea Wee Lollipop Races, held every Sunday at 1:00 pm for kids up to age 12, will begin again on December 29. The races are held in the South Branch area for skiers and snowboarders and ribbons are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in a variety of categories. These popular children's races were started by our own Bea McLeod, long-time promoter of skiing for kids, and in whose memory the Bea Wee Pass is named. Saddleback's PEAK Pass ( Promoting Education and Activity for Kids) is an excellent program where any Honor Roll* student K-12 can get a season pass for only $149.This is a savings of $200-$300 off a Junior Pass (ages 7-18). PEAK Passes are available for purchase through Jan. 31, 2014. * Ideal proof is a list from your school listing all honor roll students. Other acceptable proof is your report card or a letter from the school principal or superintendent. Any criteria set by the school that defines an honor student is acceptable to us.

The Saddleback Savings Card is a great way to save money if you don't ski or ride often enough for a season pass. It also makes a wonderful Holiday Gift. SEBAGO BREWING'S POWDERKEG EVENT A HUGE SUCCESS!
The lines stretched out the door last night at the POWDERKEG event at all four Sebago Brewing Co. locations in Kennebunk, Scarborough, Portland and Gorham. Skiers and riders anticipating a great season happily queued up for an early season ski voucher.  There were old friends as well as many new faces of folks looking forward to trying out Saddleback for the first time, while enjoying the specials on Sebago's Saddleback Ale.

"THE GUIDE" MOVIE AVAILABLE ON DVD
The Guide - a Maine-made feature film thriller shot entirely in Rumford, Rangeley, and in Saddleback Mountain's shadow, will be made available for the first time on DVD starting on December 9th. This award-winning movie was a hit at the 2013 Maine International Film Festival with its tense and gritty story about a master buck tracker who struggles to maintain his sanity when he reluctantly agrees to guide a novice hunter on his quest for a trophy buck in the frozen mountains of western Maine.The Guide is scheduled for national release in February, (to view the trailer, click HERE) However, by special arrangement, the film will be available to purchase in advance of that date directly from the film's website.
