RANGELEY - Skowhegan Area High School Educator Voted Saddleback PEAK Teacher

Chad Brackett, who teaches geography at Skowhegan Area High School, has been named the 2013 Saddleback PEAK Teacher. Mr. Brackett received the highest number of votes in the Saddleback PEAK Teacher Contest.  

The contest asked students to write an essay nominating a teacher they felt contributed to their academic success making them eligible for a Saddleback PEAK Pass.  Essays were received from students all over Maine. Six finalists were chosen and the public was invited to vote for the Saddleback PEAK Teacher. Over 2500 votes were cast. Mr. Brackett's name was submitted by Megan Hooper of Skowhegan. Megan will receive a Saddleback Gift Card for her entry and Mr. Brackett will receive a Saddleback PEAK Teacher Pass for the 2013-14 Season.

The Saddleback Peak Pass for Honor Students has recognized the academic achievements of students all over North America with its mission of Promoting Education and Activity for Kids. Any student in grades K-12 who achieves Honor Roll status is eligible to purchase a Saddleback Peak Pass through January 31, 2014.
