Temperatures at the summit have dipped below 30 degrees the past few nights. Tonight is expected to be even colder. The ski trails have been mowed in preparation for snowmaking and the snow making equipment is getting its annual tune up. The ski season is fast approaching. Saddleback Season Passes, Savings Cards and the Meisters Season Long Programs are available online at www.saddlebackmaine.com. Opening day, which is projected to be December 21st, is just 73 days away. Everyone at Saddleback is looking forward to seeing skiers and riders covering the slopes. The Saddleback Savings Card is a great way to save

money if you don't ski or ride often enough for a Season Pass. It also makes a great holiday gift. The card is valid for 7 all day lift tickets anytime during the 2013-2014 Ski Season.* There are no blackout dates. Any member of the purchasing household can use the card to redeem for tickets for a family member or friend. All household members need to be registered in order to use the card. The card will be on sale as long as the limited supply lasts.

*Our regular season ends March 31, 2014. Open weekends only in April as snow conditions permit.

SEASON LONG PROGRAMS

Saddleback has Season-Long Programs for every age level, interest and ability. When you sign up and make your purchase before October 31st, you will save $30 per program with the pre-season rates. This includes the popular Meisters (all ages), Junior Instructor, Freestyle Ski/Snowboard, Adult Telemark, Women's Ski, and Back Country/Off-Piste programs. These programs meet on Saturdays and run from January 4 - Mar 29. Also save on the popular Tuesday Tune-Up. PEAK TEACHER CONTEST

Win your teacher a PEAK Pass to Saddleback!

Each year, Saddleback has recognized Honor Students with the PEAK Pass Program (Promoting Education and Activity for Kids). Any student in grades K-12 who achieves Honor Student status through their school is eligible to purchase a Saddleback PEAK Pass for just $149.This year we are offering an opportunity for students to reward a teacher who has contributed to their academic success with a Saddleback PEAK Pass.

Thousands of students have worked hard to achieve Honor Student status and somewhere along the way a teacher helped. Tell us, in 200 words or less, why you think your teacher deserves a Saddleback Season Pass. Submit your written essay by email to peakessay@saddlebackmaine.com or mail it to Saddleback Maine, PO Box 490, Rangeley ME 04970. Your essay must be received by October 26th. All essays will be reviewed by the Saddleback staff and five finalists will be chosen. The five selected essays will be published on the Saddleback website, www.saddlebackmaine.com. The public will vote for the essay of their choice. Voting will take place from November 1 through 16. On November 29th, the winner will be announced. The author of the winning essay will receive a Saddleback Gift Card and the teacher featured in the essay will be given a Saddleback PEAK Pass for the 2013-14 Season.
