Giving Parents the Tools
Shannon Kelly Joins Living Compass

Most of the Rev. Shannon Kelly's ministry focuses on Christian formation. She blogs about it, consults about it, writes about it and has created formation programs for all ages all across the country.

So what is it?

"Christian formation is everything we do," Kelly said. "Throughout our lives we are formed by how we live each day, worship and pray, care for and serve one another, tend to the environment, play and grieve together, and come to understand God's presence in our lives. Formation is part of growing up, part of our friendships, part of parenting, part of being an adult. It is not just what happens on Sunday mornings." Read more.

Renew a Right Spirit Within Me
2014 Lenten booklets available for order

"The holy season of Lent begins for many of us with the smudge of ashes and the inescapable awareness, that "we are dust and to dust we will return" - a not-so-subtle reminder that our time on this earth is limited. This is not a morbid reminder, though. It is an invitation: not to simply hope for more days in our lives, but rather, to intentionally make space for more life in our days!"

2014 CEEP Conference
February 26 - March 1, Atlanta

The Rev. Scott Stoner will present a Fostering Healthy Parishes workshop at the February 26 - March 1 Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes (CEEP) conference in Atlanta, GA.

Stoner will discuss how healthy parishes model and teach others how to live well with all one's heart, soul, strength, and mind, and are characterized by a strong commitment to both individual and systemic wellness. He'll also review a variety of resources--including new training/certification opportunities at the Diocese of Chicago's Nicholas Center--for beginning or enhancing a congregational wellness ministry.

Living Compass representatives will also be hosting an exhibitor table for The Nicholas Center, so if you are attending the CEEP conference, please stop by and introduce yourself!
