The Express
Roseburg First United Methodist Church
The week of July 3
Engage God... Engage One Another... Engage Life!

This Sunday we'll worship as one congregation at 10AM in the basketball court. "Grasping the Gospel," the summer sermon series  on Paul's letter to the Galatians, continues and we'll serve each other Holy Communion around the tables. A potluck will follow (see below) and we'll learn more about the Listen Project sponsored by the League of Women Voters.  Dress casually and comfortably.

The following Sunday we'll be back to our normal summer Sunday schedule, but I'm called away to the Western Jurisdictional Conference.  My friend, the Rev. Gary Powell, has graciously accepted my invitation to preach. You'll be impressed with what he has to say!

This issue of the Express provides an update for the next week's happenings around Roseburg's First United Methodist Church.  If this weekly newsletter comes as a surprise to you, it's probably because we've added you to the mailing list!  If you don't want to receive the Weekly Express every Thursday, simply scroll to the bottom of the page to use the SafeUnsubscribe option.  Uncheck the Weekly Express and you'll no longer receive it

The hope, of course, is that you'll stay with us and up to date on all the great things going on in and through this church!

Blessings -

2.     Staffing the church table at the Farmer's Market
Carol Bailey can show you how it's done. It's just 2 or 4 hours on a Saturday. You can choose a time commitment that  works with your schedule. Call the church office or put your name on the sign-up sheet at the Welcome Table.
3.     Copying sermons on CD's
These will be put into the visitor gift bags. This takes a little training and about an hour or so a week. Not difficult.  Just sign up!
