Lenten Quest Engaging Faith Team
The next Engaging Faith Discipleship Season is the season of Lent, which begins with Ash Wednesday on February 10 and ends with Easter Sunday on March 27. This spiritually rich season of prayer and service, reflection and preparation will be planned by the LentenQuest team, which Pastor Scott will assemble soon. The team will meet on Tuesday, January 19  from 3:15-5:00pm in the chapel. We'd love new ideas and fresh perspectives. Would you like to participate on this short-term team? If so, let Pastor Scott know (scott@fumcroseburg.org). Thanks!
Stuck Class
A great way to start out the New Year.  Stuck is not really a study about our struggles.  This is a study about God.  As we understand God and God's plans and heaven and Jesus Christ's love for us and grace and mercy and on and on and on... a thousand problems are solved all at once.

There is a tension that we feel. Most of us know we are stuck and imperfect, broken. But focusing on the reality of our brokenness usually brings us to run to the dark place of rebellion or to the seemingly safe place of covering it up. Shame follows us to both places. To be known and accepted are the two most fundamental needs a human has. But we often sacrifice truly being known for covering up the stuff that makes us seem weak or unlovable.

May the Father, Son and Holy Spirit creatively weave their way into every answer for every problem you face. We are a humanity of brokenness.  Christ often says, "You are broken. Come back to me," because in our  brokenness we find God.  Come join Doreen Barlow in the discovery of God's love for the broken places.  Stuck is a 6 week class.  Starts Tuesday, January 5th, at noon in the chapel. Books are $10.  Call Kathy in the church office at 541-672-1629 to register.
