Texas Reception at the National League of Cities Congress of Cities in Nashville
TML is hosting a Texas Reception for Texas city officials who are attending the National League of Cities (NLC) Congress of Cities and Exposition in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 4-7.  The Texas Reception will take place on Thursday, November 5, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., at the Omni Nashville Hotel.

Texas Financial Education Endowment Grant Program Is Accepting Applications
The Texas Financial Education Endowment (TFEE) is accepting grant applications through September 30 to support innovative consumer credit-building activities and programs for youth and adults.  This is an opportunity for Texas cities, agencies, and other organizations to apply for funding that can help provide financial education to community members.  Potential applicants are invited to attend an informational webinar on September 8 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. to learn more about the program and ask questions.  Information about the grant program, including application instructions and webinar registration, is online here.

October Small Cities' Problem-Solving Clinic in Diboll
Small cities, we have a training workshop that is just your size - a TML Small Cities' Problem-Solving Clinic. The clinic covers the basics (key legal requirements, legislative updates, and a review of TML services), and offers ample time to discuss the issues important to your city during the legal question-and-answer session and roundtable discussion.
