TML Launches New HR Workshop for Public OfficialsIf your city has employees, then the TML Human Resources Workshop for Public Officials, November 6-7, in Austin may be for you. Designed for councilmembers, mayors, city managers, and other officials who lack significant HR experience, the workshop will teach how to manage the legal and policy issues surrounding your city's employees. Learn about hiring, firing, how to write personnel policies, as well as how to avoid harassment, discrimination, and other legal claims that often arise in the employment arena. The HR Workshop will help you spot issues before they fester, and craft practices and policies to manage your city's most valuable asset: its employees.
