TML Small Cities' Problem-Solving Clinics

Small cities, we have a training workshop that is just your size--a TML Small Cities' Problem-Solving Clinic.  While each clinic covers the basics (key legal requirements, legislative updates, and a review of TML services), there is also plenty of time for you to discuss the issues important to your city during the legal question-and-answer sessions and roundtable discussion. For only $40 per registrant, the clinics deliver a high educational impact at a low cost.  For a list of scheduled clinics, visit www.tmlsmallcities.org

Apply for a Texas Municipal League Municipal Excellence Award
Innovative problem-solving, excellence in management, increasing citizen participation, and reaching toward higher service levels are all daily occurrences in Texas cities, and they deserve recognition. The TML Municipal Excellence Awards seek out the best of these programs to honor. The competition is divided into two population categories--cities less than 25,000 in population and cities over 25,000 in population. Within each of the two population categories, there are five subject categories--management innovations, communication programs, city spirit, public safety, and public works. The deadline to submit applications is June 6, 2014. For more information and to apply, visit the TML Municipal Excellence Awards page on the TML website.

The highest level of recognition an elected official can obtain is Certified Municipal Official (CMO).  For details on the CMO designation and other certificate levels, go to the TMLI section of the TML website.
