Landmark Overlook
Pinot Noir

90 points
Wine Enthusiast

This is a soft and intense Pinot Noir from three different appellations that's affordable and approachable. It's well-made, with earth, candied citrus and Bing cherry notes intermixed with hints of anise and subtle oak.

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

(made from a blend of fruit sourced from vineyards in San Luis Obispo, Sonoma and Monterey counties): Dark red. Smoky redcurrant and cherry aromas are lifted by a peppery note. Taut, chewy red fruit and bitter chocolate flavors show good clarity and a tangy edge, along with a touch of mocha. Finishes with firm grip and dusty tannins.

90 Points Wine Spectator

Striking a balance between ripe cherry-berry fruit and light dusty herb notes, this graceful version features a supple texture, focus and length. Drink now. 9,000 cases made.

K&L Notes

This vintage blends fruit from cool sites in San Luis Obispo, Sonoma and Monterey Counties to beautiful effect. It's packed with vibrant red fruit, fine tannins and a kiss of French oak spice. Always a lot of wine for the money.

Colosi Nero d'Avola
Nero d'Avola is "the most important red wine grape in Sicily, and is one of Italy's most important indigenous varieties. It is named after Avola, a town in the far south of Sicily and its wines are compared to New World Shiraz, with sweet tannins and plum or peppery flavors. At times, it is also called Calabrese or "from Calabria" which appears to be an Italianisation of Calaurisi, a Sicilian dialect word meaning grape of Avola.

"The Black Grape of Avola" seems to have been selected by growers near Avola several hundred years ago. Initially it was confined to the southern tip of Sicily, but more recently has spread throughout the island. Its percentage is uncertain, though for sure there are no significant plantings outside of Sicily.

Rich, open and expressive, a palate with generous fruit. This opens with pretty fruit tones of cherry and blackberry, with subtle tones of spice and rum cake in the background. There is a richness to this wine that comes across in a nice long finish. Please try it this Friday.

Acrobat Pinot Gris
Rated 91 Points - Wine Enthusiast

What is certainly the best vintage yet for this widely available Pinot Gris. Outstanding depth of flavor focuses on apple, pear and melon fruits. There's an appealing streak of vanilla custard, with a lush mouthfeel and plenty of detail right on through the generous finish.

Winemakers Notes:

"Acrobat Pinot Gris is a translucent, pale straw color. Rich citrus aromas, tropical papaya, pineapple and lychee unfold, with hints of limestone and honeysuckle floral notes. Lemon and lime ripeness on entry, evolving with honeydew melon, golden delicious apple mid-palate, and lingering with notes of kiwi. Light and well-balanced entry, full mid-palate, with a crisp lingering finish."

If your tired of ordering Pinot Grigio every time a waiter asks what you would like to drink - you have to try this on Friday night.
