Presented by Mr. Tom Belcher Martin Scott Wines PINOT NOIR Most of the fruit comes from our Burning Creek vineyard. The remainder from our Lafond Vineyard and Arita Hills Vineyard. The two vineyards are located in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, an appellation known internationally for exceptional Pinot Noir. The Santa Rita Hills valley runs east-west leading to the Pacific Ocean. In early afternoon, cool breezes blow up the valley followed by evening fog which lingers until mid-morning. This creates the southernmost Region 1 climate zone in the northern hemisphere, which has one of the longest growing seasons in the world, conditions that are ideal for producing quality, fruit-driven Pinot Noir. Exhibiting flavors and aromas of black cherry, strawberry, violets and black tea, this wine is the perfect red for light lunches on the patio, lazy afternoons picnicking in the shade or an evening of hors d'oeuvres and aperitiffs at the bistro. Winemaker's comments: Burning Creek is our new vineyard producing its second full crop. The wine is fruit forward and very accessible, enjoyable now.

Chardonnay
The grapes for this wine come from a variety of vineyards that Winemaker Bruce McGuire has selected over the years for their quality and consistency. Many are from the same blocks year after year. Cool climate Chardonnay is balanced with those from warmer vineyards. All the grapes were pressed as whole clusters with 65
% of the wine fermented in stainless steel tanks. The remaining 35% was barrel fermented and underwent malolactic fermentation. The barrelled wine was aged 'sur lie' and its lees regularly stirred to impart flavor and complexity.
The result is a wine that is bright and flavorful with a great deal of fruit intensity. We consider this our trademark Chardonnay, a wine we have consistently produced year after year.
Winemaker's comments: Picked over a 6 week period this Chardonnay reflects the diversity of Santa Barbara County. Forward with fruit with enriching texture from the yeast lees and oak from the barrel fermentation. Gold Medal 2015 Miami Best in Glass Wine Challenge Gold Medal 2015 Tasters Guild Wine Judging |
EXTREMELY RAREMichter's US1 Barrel Strength Kentucky Straight Rye
Since the 1990's, the Michter's team has been doing pioneering work to re-establish the high quality American Rye whiskey category. The May 2015 inaugural release of Michter's US1 Barrel Strength Rye marks yet another milestone in that quest. For maturation, the Rye distillate is entered into the barrel at 103 proof, rather than a more industry standard higher proof. Barrel entry at a lower proof of 103 rather than a higher proof costs Michter's more money in terms of barrels and warehousing, but we believe it yields a richer, smoother, more full-bodied whiskey after proper maturation. A single barrel product, each barrel of Michter's US1 Barrel Strength Kentucky Straight Rye is bottled at its particular alcohol level at the time of bottling. The majority of barrels in the inaugural release range from 108 to 110.8 proof.
To savor it is a unique experience for anyone who enjoys Rye whiskey. Butterscotch and cinnamon with a hint of cherries on the nose; warming, rich, toasty vanilla and caramel up front with a dry oaky spice on the finish.
We will receive only one bottle. This is a great gift - for clients, graduation, milestones, or just for you.
First come, first served.

BALCONES TEXAS WHISKEY
A timeless style of malt whisky, Balcones "1" Texas Single Malt breathes new life into centuries of distilling tradition with classic techniques and ingredients adapted for New World tastes. Opening aromas bear hints of toffee and overripe fruits. On the palate, layers of toasted malt and honey give way to mellow notes of baked pears and apples. A long finish is accompanied by cinnamon and cloves. Texas made, Texas proud, we hope you enjoy the whisky we owe our success to as much as we enjoy making it.
