Chateau Mont Redon
Rated 90 points - Decanter Magazine

Situated on the left bank of the Rhône between Orange and Avignon, the Mont-Redon vineyards feature large, rounded stones known locally as galets.

These stones retain some of the intense daytime heat of the southern sun and then slowly disperse it to the vines during the night. The Mistral wind blows away any humidity, ensuring excellent climatic conditions for the cultivation of vines.

The grapes are handpicked and destemmed, followed by maceration to achieve good tannic structure. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is matured in vats and oak barrels until bottling.

Aromas and flavors of dark berries, raspberries and spice lead to a full, succulent palate with balanced, approachable tannins. Pair with herbed, grilled meats or aged cheeses.

St. George Green Chile Vodka

We make this vodka from a variety of California-grown hot and sweet peppers (jalapenos, Serranos, habaneros, red and yellow bell peppers) that build layers of sweet, savory heat. Lime peel and fresh cilantro add even more vibrancy and depth of flavor.

To make our Green Chile Vodka, we fill our 1,500-liter still with crushed jalapeno peppers, lime peel, and a non-GMO base spirit and distill this through a Carter head assembly that has been layered with fresh cilantro.

We infuse the other four types of peppers (Serrano, habanero, red and yellow sweet bell peppers) separately, and then blend each infusion with the distillate of jalapenos, lime, and cilantro. We then filter to remove visible impurities before bottling-the light green tint that remains is the result of the pepper infusion we perform just prior to filtration.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING

A real stunner. It's got an invigorating snap of heat, and a seductively smooth mouth-feel. - Los Angeles Times

Exudes pure, fresh pepper flavor without too much spice. Use it to add a peppery punch to your next Bloody Mary or a savory layer to your next Margarita, or simply mix it in a highball with honey syrup and soda. - Imbibe Magazine

Hugel Gentile

Talk about history...
"Rarely have we seen a vintage subject to so many variations in the weather. The season started late with a damp spring and coulure, causing a smaller than usual crop. High temperatures and exceptional summer weather brought the grapes to perfect levels of maturity.

Right from the start of our harvest on 1 October the grapes were very healthy and ripe, and so 2013 was a classic Alsace vintage of intense, pure, well balanced wines. Uneven weather at the very end of the harvest prevented any significant production of Late Harvest wines." -Etienne Hugel

The Wine Advocate - Rated 90 Points

Hugel's "Gentil" a traditional Alsatian blend of the "noble grapes." Fresh aromatics of spring flowers, pear and white peaches make it an ideal food pairing to balance spicy Asian food or to complement traditional Alsatian dishes like sauerkraut, charcuterie, and heavy cheese.

Take a sip of real history this Friday night - Hugel has been making wine since 1639.
