The apellation Cotes de Provence is the most widely known appellation of Provence. Its geographic area comprises 84 towns of the Var, Bouches-du-Rhone and Alpes-Maritimes (1 town) departments. Presenting a certain diversity of terrain, the entire area is subject to the Provencal mediterranean climate.

Flor de Verano Albariño Rias Baixas  Olivier Bernard, the ceaselessly energetic owner of Domaine de Chevalier, was already making one of the greatest white wines in the world at his Domaine de Chevalier, and had been doing so for more than 30 years. But the price but it beyond most people.
Along with Pessac-Léognan neighbors Haut Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion, Olivier's Domaine de Chevalier Blanc was clearly in the super-upper tier of Bordeaux whites.The answer to a Domaine de Chevalier lover's prayers. Olivier purchased the Clos des Lunes estate, formerly known as Château Haut Caplane, for the express purpose of making yet another world-class Bordeaux Blanc - at an affordable price. 
He has definitely succeeded. As with Domaine de Chevalier Blanc, every step of the winemaking at Lune d'Argent, from grape picking to bottling, is meticulously overseen by Olivier and the crack Domaine de Chevalier winemaking team, including its star consulting enologist (and long-time CW friend), Denis Dubourdieu.
Despite its modest price, Lune d'Argent clearly conveys Domaine de Chevalier's impeccable winemaking breed and pedigree, in a more fruit forward, easy drinking manner, at a price that is almost incredible.
Moreover, unlike Domaine de Chevalier Blanc, which typically needs 10 or more years in the cellar to really strut its stuff, Lune d'Argent is made to be enjoyed now.
You need to try this Friday night - amazing.

Talk about history...
Chateau d'Aiguilhe, is situated in a unique location. The Bordeaux wine property is bordered on one side by a plateau. The other side is bordered by a small valley. This overlooks "l'aiguille", which is a French term meaning "needle." This is how the chateau found its name.
The property has a long and interesting history as a Bordeaux wine property. At one time, there was supposed to have been a Roman villa on this site. Much later, the château was probably used as a commandery for the Knights Templar.
The first written records date back to the late 12th century. The château was built in the 13th century. d'Aiguilhe was obtained by the d'Albret family before it was sold to the Leberthon family. The Leberthon family connection was important as numerous familiy members were officials in the Bordeaux parliament.
Eventually the Leberthons sold Château d'Aiguilhe on the eve of the French Revolution to Etienne Martineau. He expanded it into a huge Bordeaux wine estate with four hundred hectares of vines in a single block. His descendents remained owners of the château until 1920. Today, the Right Bank property is owned and managed by Stephan von Neipperg, who owns several other Bordeaux wine properties in St. Emilion.

John Andorfer - Head Brewer, Chief Science Officer.WIth a PhD in biochemistry and two post-Docs, John might be one of the most scholarly brewers! John is a skilled brewer and while he loves brewing at Cottrell, he hopes to one day expand his growing farm into full time livelihood.
Drew Rodgers - Brewer, Raised in Noank, Drew studied philosophy at Vassar College. An accomplished brewer, Drew is in charge of crafting new beer recipes and developing new products.
