This Friday Night - MEET FRANCO PADRONI
Franco Pedroni, the Cantina di Soave Brand Ambassador/Area Coordinator for the US, was born a few miles North of Verona, a romantic town in the North-East of Italy with rich history that goes back to Ancient Roman times. Raised in a family with close ties to the Veneto, one of Italy's regions where wine truly is part of everyday life, his undergraduate studies took him to the United States. Upon returning to Europe, he went on to learn about some of the most renowned Old World wines. Now living back in Italy, he cultivates a passion for Valpolicella and Soave wines thanks to Cantina di Soave.
From his base in the Medieval town of Soave among the vineyards between Verona and Venice, he travels to the United States to share his knowledge with all those eager to know more about some of the flagship wines of Italy. These include: Soave, a harmonious white wine obtained only from the indigenous Garganega grape, Ripasso and Amarone, two of the most sophisticated and noble Italian red wines obtained by blending three of the most representative grapes of the Valpolicella area just North of Verona: Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara.
