Handmade Chocolate Truffles
by Moonstruck

Handmade & Decorated

In 1993, a simple but remarkable concept took root in Portland, Oregon. That concept was to handcraft superior chocolates - chocolates that would not only taste exquisite, but that would look exceptional, as well. The result would be a chocolate indulgence for all the senses.

"From that initial idea grew Moonstruck Chocolatier, where to this day we still handcraft each piece, using only the finest ingredients. We pair our own decadent chocolate with fresh flavors found in the Pacific Northwest and beyond, and then hand-decorate each piece with intricate care. It all makes for a chocolate experience without compare, and we invite you to share in that experience yourself. It is our sincere hope that you enjoy savoring each Moonstruck Chocolatier delicacy as much as we enjoyed creating it." If you know a chocolate lover - this is just the thing.

Cakebread Zinfandel - $32

From the winery:
"Our Zinfandel showcases bright raspberry, black cherry and dark plum aromas complemented by intriguing dusty earth, black pepper and milk chocolate scents.

On the rich and lively palate, it delivers pure, deeply concentrated black raspberry, dark cherry and blackberry flavors streaked with mineral and briary spice tones. Beautifully structured with sturdy, but supple tannins, fresh acidity and a long, rich, chocolate-y finish, this mountain Zinfandel wine is delightful to drink now, but will surely repay another 3-5 years of cellaring."

Very difficult to find in a retail store. The Cakebread Zinfandel is generally seen on restaurant menus - at a much higher price. Highly allocated we have just one case. First Come, first served. A great wine for the holiday table.

Ancho Reyes Liqueur

Ancho Reyes is born from
the sacred earth of Puebla,

Mexico. An original liquid as unique and independent as the ancho chile from which it is made - since 1927.

Deep bronze hue with medium body and high viscosity. Slightly pungent, followed by dried chile notes, spices, cinnamon, cocoa, tamarind, and wet wood with light herbal notes adding to the complexity.

Completely different. Pleasantly sweet, followed by chile with moderate heat and slight acidity. Hints of spices, tamarind, plum, cacao, apple and almonds then subtle notes of fine herbs. A pleasantly lingering pungent taste on the finish. Use it to make extraordinary cocktails or sip it on its own. Each bottle comes with a free sample of Milagro Anejo tequila.

VERY Coole Swan

Coole Swan was born by blending the finest Single Malt lrish Whiskey with White Belgium Chocolate and Fresh Cream. Coole Swan is 100% natural and is now regarded as the world's most delicious tasting lrish Cream Liqueur. But don't just take our word for it.....try it for yourself.

Velvet and smooth. The gentle melt in the mouth feeling of the cold, fresh, cream and smooth silky white chocolate reveals the warmth of the mellow, rounded whiskey. The use of real and natural ingredients ensures that there is no cloying sweetness. A clean finish is guaranteed.

Sample it this week - but be sure to join us on Friday December 12th when the Irish Lases' of Coole Swan visit the store to showcase their products and they will be pouring Coole Swan from 5-8PM.

PAVAN Orange Blossom Liqueur

Pavan is a liqueur made from
Muscat grape and a touch of orange blossom in the South of France.

Pavan is crafted with hand-harvested Petit Muscat grapes from the AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) region of Frontignan. Long exposure to the sun and proximity to the sea provide the perfect conditions for the Muscat vines to thrive, producing small berries that are naturally sweet and rich in aromas.

The muscat juice is blended with a grape-based spirit, creating a traditional 'vin de liqueur'. This fortification process prevents the fermentation of the juice, and preserves the original aromas and freshness of the Muscat grape.

The 'vin de liqueur' is aged for two years in century old oak casks. This allows the blend to mature slowly while retaining the distinctive character of the original fruit. Finally, the 'vin de liqueur' is blended with a touch of orange blossom from the Mediterranean. This infusion gives Pavan its aromatic citrus notes and reinforces its freshness.

Delicate, elegant, a perfect addition to sparkling wine or Champagne - try it this week.
