Both will be here in the store pairing wine and cheese and answering questions that should all add up to a great night and a way to make your holiday shopping very easy indeed.

The wind and the rain are gone. It is time to get out of the house and stretch those old legs of yours. We are running a little too late to list all of the details about Friday night - here are the Cliff Notes

Bernabeleva

NAVAHERREROS

Garnacha de Bernabeleva - 16

Navaherrerros is a red wine made from grenache grapes from every vineyard in the estate. Through different soils, orientations and microclimates, it expresses San Martin de Valdeiglesias' terroir. The ages of the vines range from 40 to 80 and planting densities from 1,900 to 2,200 vines per hectare.

The logo represents the goddess of hunt, to whom, in ancient times, sacred forests were dedicated. In pre Roman cultures, consecration of a forest to this deity was signaled on tree barks or on something more imperishable like stone. Bernabeleva, literally, means the path of the bear, where the bear lives, or next to the bear.

2 - Parés Balta "Blanc de Pacs" Penedes - 12

This blend of Xarello, Macabeo and Parellada is fresh and vibrant, the perfect warm-weather wine to wash down copious amounts of fresh seafood! According to Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pares Balta is one of a number of wineries in Penedes with serious aspirations. It produces a wide range of wines from Cava to Rose to stratospherically priced red wines. While Pares Balta appears to be a work in progress, it is clear that their intention is to produce world-class wines."

Pale yellow with hints of bright straw throughout. Very intense aromas, dominated by mature white fruits. On the palate it is fresh with good acidity, intensity and a very pleasant aftertaste very fruity and full of freshness. With over seventy years in the wine business they are still a family winery belonging to the Cusine family that combines perfectly tradition with technology.

3 - Marques de Murrieta Reserva Rioja - 22

Rated 90 Points - Wine Advocate

Bright red. Fresh red berry and spice aromas suggest a higher percentage of garnacha. Suave, energetic red berry flavors stain the palate, nicely braced by tangy mineral and spice qualities. The finish repeats the red fruit note and hangs on tenaciously.

One of the iconic Rioja houses, Murrieta are considered to be among the finest examples of Spain's most celebrated wine region. The Reserva beautifully merges traditional and modern; unmistakably Rioja but with wonderful rich, ripe fruit.

It is time to revisit the magic of Rioja.
