Catch a flick, entertainer at Sizzling Summer
The Incredibles on the big screen Friday night at Fuerst Park
Summer is flying by, but there is still time to  
enjoy the Sizzling Summer Art Series at Fuerst Park.

This Friday is Superhero Night, with "The Incredibles" being shown on the big screen. Come by at 8pm for fun family activities and stick around for the movie at dusk. "Inside Out" will close out the summer series on Aug. 19.

Five Wonderful Wednesdays remain, including an appearance next week by magician Tom Plunkard. All Wonderful Wednesday performances start at 10:30am.

Support the parks at Pour on the Shore
Craft beer & wine tasting event 6:30-10:30pm on Friday, July 22
Support the Novi Parks Foundation while enjoying craft beer, wine, appetizers and live music at the second annual Pour on the Shore fundraiser on July 22 at Pavilion Shore Park.

Proceeds from the event, which runs from 6:30-10:30pm, help the foundation support park enhancements, recreational opportunities and scholarship programs for local students.

The foundation, founded in 2004, has raised and spent around a quarter million dollars on local projects, including about $50,000 at Pavilion Shore Park.

Tickets for the event are $45 and can be purchased in person at the Novi Parks Office or online at noviparksfoundation.org. Other highlights of the night include a 50/50 raffle and special cigar room. For full details, visit noviparksfoundation.org.
Explore the gardens at MSU Tollgate Farm
Open house garden tour from 4-7pm on Saturday, July 16
Enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the Tollgate gardens during the annual Tollgate Sunset Celebration on Saturday, July 16.

Come see the historic 160-acre farm and learn about the more than 20 ornamental gardens from Tollgate's dedicated team of garden docents. The free event takes place between 4-7pm and visitors are invited to bring their own prepared picnic dinners to enjoy on site. Complementary cold beverages and dessert snacks will be offered. 

The farm, located at 28115 Meadowbrook, includes 70 acres of open pasture land and hayfields, 40 acres of woods, a pond, an arboretum, beautifully maintained buildings and horticultural demonstration gardens. For more information, visit tollgate.msu.edu or call 248.347.3860.
Catch a good 'Vibe on Main' this August
Outdoor festival on Main Street slated for 2-11pm on Aug. 13
A new outdoor festival called Vibe on Main is coming to Novi on Aug. 13, and this first-time event promises to be a good time for everyone.

The Main Street area will be closed off to traffic from 2-11pm, allowing for a stage at the Main/Potomac intersection, a beer tent/VIP area, food vendors, a mini bazaar and the addition of outdoor dining patios.

Five acts of various genres will take the stage from 4-11pm, including Motor City's queen of the blues Thornetta Davis. The festival is sponsored by Vibe Credit Union, and several Novi restaurants in and out of the downtown area also will be participating. 

There is no cost to attend the first-time festival, but patrons 21 and over will have to pay $5 to enter the beer and wine tent.
