NEVER TOO EARLY TO PLAN FOR SUMMER
Registration open for Camp Lakeshore, Camp PowerPlay
Summer is right around the corner and you don't want your kids to miss the best part - making memories at Camp Lakeshore or Camp PowerPlay.

Camp Lakeshore takes place at the beautiful Lakeshore Park, and Camp PowerPlay runs at the Novi Civic Center and utilizes the nearby parks, library and high school.

Both camps get underway June 20 and the final day of camp is Aug. 19. Campers between the ages of 6-12 can sign up for a week or chose a one- or two-day pass.

Every week has a theme (Star Wars, Ooey Gooey Week and Olympics to name a few) and a field trip to places like the Detroit Zoo, Airtime, a Lansing Lugnuts game and more.

Full camp activities take place from 9am-4:30pm, but the camp is open from 7am-6pm to be parent-friendly. For more information about the two camps, including price and registration, visit cityofnovi.org.

GIVE BACK AT EARTH, ARBOR DAY EVENTS
C.A.R.E.S. Days provide great opportunity to beautify Novi
Come make a difference in the community by volunteering your time at the upcoming Arbor Day and Earth Day events in Novi.

Earth Day, 9-11am on Saturday, April 23 at MSU Tollgate, is an annual event where volunteers will work in the Plant-A-Row Garden for the Hungry. Food from the garden is then donated to Forgotten Harvest. Residents are asked to bring shovels and hand tools, gloves will be provided.

Arbor Day, 9-11am on Saturday, April 30 at Lakeshore Park, is the annual celebration encouraging planting and caring for trees. Novi has been an Arbor Day Foundation Tree City USA for more than two decades. Residents can help by planting trees, mulching and weeding.

If you cannot make those dates, mark your calendar for River Day on May 21 or Cemetery Clean-Up on June 4. All volunteers will receive a T-shirt. For more information, call 248.567.0316.
