"Leaves grow out of the fence posts here in Honduras!

Nothing but truth in that statement from our fearless leader Doris! The soil is fertile here and the countryside is green with summer sun and rain. Acacia trees are full of orange flowers.  

We arrived in San Pedro Sula to bright sunshine and the smiling face of Elmer! Nearly half of our team is returning to their home away from home, the Barnabas House. Two of our young "country boys" are having one eye opening experience after the next; first time out of the country as well as on a plane.

We traveled from town to the mountains with a bus full of medical supplies, faces of anticipation and the  giggles of a colorful team ready to serve these beautiful people.

After unloading the bus, the younger team members didn't hesitate before blowing up the soccer balls starting a pickup game with a precious little Honduran girl who quickly became our friend. Language barriers disappeared with the common language of a smile.

After an amazing dinner, we spent the evening belly laughing as we put forth a solid attempt to match wits. Old timers and new kids quickly became family who felt as if we had known each other for years!

We wish you all a good night - we are ready for deep sleep to the sounds of Honduras, waiting to see what God has in store for us tomorrow. What a privilege and joy to be in mission in Honduras.
