Growing season ends soon ... delineate your wetlands now

If you know - or even suspect - that you have wetlands on your property or development site, now is the time to get them delineated. Because of the permitting process, this is particularly critical if you have any wetland permitting or property development plans in the near future.

The growing season to conduct wetland delineations ends in mid-October, and assessing your wetlands before then will provide a complete evaluation that may save you both time and money.  You can still delineate until the snow falls, however, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or county regulators may consider the delineation to be incomplete or preliminary. This would necessitate an additional vegetation/ floristic analysis during next year's growing season that could delay your project schedule and approval.

So act now to keep your project moving and minimize your costs.  To receive a proposal from our wetland delineation experts, contact Scott Brejcha at 630-729-6325 or at sbrejcha@v3co.com
