Minding Your Manners With Technology

When I was in my early twenties, I had a friend who seemed to pride himself on being aloof. He, as many young people I knew at the time, thought others would perceive him as being "cooler" if he appeared not to care about anything. One day he and I were at a home improvement store and as we left the store, he noticed a woman standing behind her car with the trunk open. On the cart next to her, were four 80-pound bags of concrete mix. He turned to me and said, "We should help her," and then proceeded over to the car and helped load the bags. This was close to thirty years ago and I still remember it clearly because the kind act so impressed me.

Intuit To Offer QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification
Beginning November 5, Intuit will offer QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification as part of the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program. Although the certification exam will not be available to the public until November 5, those wishing early access to the prep course can attain this by participating in the QuickBooks Connect event to be held October 21 through October 23 in San Jose, California. QuickBooks Connect provides a number of educational sessions designed for accountants, entrepreneurs, small business owners and managers, and software and solutions developers. 

 

Centage Corporation Releases Budget Maestro Version 7S
Natick, Massachusetts-based Centage Corporation has released an enhancement to their Budget Maestro business performance management application. This new release - Budget Maestro Version 7S - adds an updated user interface, customizable home screen, easy access menus, and windows docking for split-screen viewing and for sharing windows across multiple monitors.
