NEW ON LINE CO-OP ORDERING SYSTEM
For years, we have used spreadsheets to collect co-op orders. Members called or emailed their list to a coordinator, who then put it into a custom spreadsheet and sent it to us. There were plenty of opportunities for missed communications, missed deadlines, typo's, etc, etc.
With the new system, each member registers in one co-op, then inputs their own order. Each quarter, when Bread Beckers "opens" the order cycle, each member who has registered will get an email from the system. The system will also keep track of what was ordered and what was finally shipped. There will also be history reports, so each member can see what they ordered before.
It is basically an online spreadsheet - you just scroll down a list, put the qty next to the item you want, then click the "add/save" button. There are no confirmations, submissions, etc. As long as the order cycle is open, you can make all the changes you want - you don't have to contact the coordinator to say you forgot this, or don't want that - you just change it!
Of course, if you only have email access, or have troubles with your connection, the coordinator can still input or edit the order.
All communications, deliveries, payments, etc are still through the coordinator - we're just trying to streamline the order taking process.
Contact your coordinator to see how to register, and use it! Not in a co-op, go to our co-op page and find one near you!
