WELCOME TED SARANDOS TO THE LAGFF ADVISORY BOARD
Ted Sarandos, Netflix's Chief Content Officer, has joined the Advisory Board of Los Angeles Greek Film Festival.

With more than 20 years' experience in home entertainment, Sarandos is recognized in the industry as an innovator in film acquisition and distribution. He has led content acquisition for the company since 2000.

Before Netflix, Ted was an executive at video distributor ETD and Video City/West Coast Video. He is a film producer of several prolific documentaries and serves on the Film Advisory Board for Tribeca Film Festival, as well as the retail advisory board for the Digital Entertainment Group. Ted is married to U.S. Ambassador Nicole Avant who became the 13th U.S. Ambassador to The Bahamas in 2009, appointed to the post by President Barack Obama.

A LETTER FROM LAGFF CO-PRODUCER ELENI ARVANITI
EleniDear LAGFF Friends,
I would like to take the opportunity in this week's newsletter and express my sincere thanks to members of our community who have joined our HOST A FILMMAKER and FILMMAKER FUND programs:

Bessie Karras - Host Home
Georgia Tripodes - Host Home
Carol Contes - Filmmaker Fund
Fay Lellios - Filmmaker Fund

With LAGFF 2014 quickly approaching, we launch our HOST A FILMMAKER campaign and seek local friends and families willing to open their homes to host 1-2 filmmakers during the days of this year's festival.  This year's festival will be held at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, 6712 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028, June 4 - 8, 2014.

Ideal homes are within 10 miles (or a reasonable distance) from the theater and can provide a private room with bath for approximately 5-6 days (arrival/departure dates will vary). As the festival activities last all day, the filmmaker will only be in your home to shower, change, and sleep.

We also require that any filmmakers staying in host homes will have their own transportation (rental car). Hosts are not expected to provide any other amenities, such as meals, etc.

If your home should not be a match, but you would still like to lend your support to our incoming filmmakers please consider making a contribution to it our FILMMAKER FUND.

On behalf of our filmmakers, I thank you for the kindness and support you have shown by believing in the festival and your continued support of the arts. I look forward to hearing back from you and seeing you at the festival! - Eleni Arvaniti

For more information our HOST A FILMMAKER program, please contact Eleni at eleni@lagreekfilmfestival.org
